I am proud to announce that our new website is going to launch in 7 days. We have spent a grueling 3 months designing our new website from the ground up to incorporate our new sense of identity, style, passion, and philosophy.
A week ago I gave you guys a sneak peek at a website called Zixzine.com, that was just a sneak peek and we have to confess that it was only a dummy website, meaning that Zixzine will NOT be our new name/ home instead it will be a much cooler name which will be revealed in 7 days. The dummy website was only intended to give an early sneak peek while we pushed even further into development in our actual site.
Now for those complaining about our recent lack of updates on Zixpk.com you will be happy to know that we have a whole slew of new HD wallpapers lined up ready for you to download on December 1st which will be our grand unveiling. We also have a ton of other content which we hope you will enjoy.
So make sure to return to Zixpk.com on December 1st to witness our new identity. Until than may you all have a wonderful thanksgiving (and black friday).

We have just upgraded our commenting system to allow for a slew of new options. Some of the more notable features is that you now have the ability for threaded comments so you can respond to peoples comments right underneath their comment. We love all the submissions that Zixpk.com gets daily from our visitors. It's a pleasure taking a look at some of the most creative and outstanding work out there. Our old submission form only allowed for our users to submit their wallpapers to Zixpk.com. We have now expanded our submission form to allow you to submit all kinds of content that you are capable of coming up with. There is no limit as to what you may submit. We are open to just about anything that your creative skills can master up. Some submissions ideas would be to submit a wallpaper that you have created, a Wordpress/ Blogger template, icons, visual styles, pictures of your workspace, your customized mac/ windows desktop, art that you have created, and custom modded computer pictures. It’s been just over a year and a half since I launched Zixpk.com. Since then, this website has gone through a number of changes. Originally, I launched Zixpk with the intention for it to become a gadget blog. Over time, our passion transitioned from gadgets to design. Since the beginning I have produced just about all the content on this site. It's a daunting task to do especially when you have to keep an eye on all the elements of our web page such as our hosting, advertising, answering emails that you guys send in, our forum, comment moderation, resizing wallpapers, making original posts, and on top of all of that I am still a student in high school, and I have a part time job. I have to pay for our picture hosting, our file hosting, and our forum. The advertising on Zixpk.com is not enough revenue to pay for everything. So I have been forced to sell my PSP on ebay.

Our main goal for our total website redesign here at Zixpk.com, was to create something that was modern looking and at the same time easier to navigate. There are many changes across our new site, some might be as huge as the brand new navigation system or as simple as a few tweaks to our sidebar. Non the less, almost every single pixel got transformed in this new design.
Zixpk.com is hosted on a blogger/blogspot account so it is difficult to professionally design a template around this platform. It's not like designing for Wordpress where you have so much more freedom. But I have to say, after designing a few templates for Zixpk.com I fell like blogger actually does have the ability to do as good as Wordpress, all that it requires is a little time and ways to work around situations. So I don't plan anytime soon to switch Zixpk.com over to Wordpress because I kind of enjoy this unlimited bandwidth and no monthly fee to maintain servers.
So I can't really put into words our new design because what it really comes down to is if you like it.

Yay! We finally have a Flickr group so that all you desktop customization pimps out there who visit Zixpk.com, can now post your desktop screen-shot.

At the moment it is very empty because it just went live a couple of minutes ago. So we really need you to fill it up. Our goal is to try to create the most inspiring Flickr group for people to come to when they need ideas on how to customize their desktop and see how others have pimped out theirs.
Our Flickr group is very open so that means that anyone can post a screen shot of their desktop no matter if it is Windows, Mac, or Linux (we like to see them all).
The only thing that we really ask of you is to please say where you got the content on your desktop from, like where did you get the icons, the wallpapers, the visual style, the program, ect. This way people can make their desktop look like yours and they can become happy on the inside just like you :)

Because of this, we have been able to attract thousands of visitors daily and we keep growing in numbers.

» New Website Layout
As you can notice we will no longer be featuring a single post on the front page but have instead gone the typical blog route of displaying multiple posts on our front page. The reason for this change is so that our posts will be more easily accessible. Instead now we will have our featured post link in the sidebar (this has yet to be implemented). Most of our web layout will stay the same except for our front page.
Many of you have come to familiarize zixpk.com with having some of the best HD wallpapers around, this is great but we need new and fresh content to feature. I have to tell you the truth, it gets boring as hell just featuring wallpapers all the time, so this is why I have decided to start writing articles which I hope you guys will like. But don't worry, We will continue to post a ton of new wallpapers often because this is what has made us great.

I know that it feels that Zixpk.com is always constantly updating our page layout but this is because we get bored very quickly and because every time that we update, zixpk.com becomes that much better. So while we are still implementing some new things is there anything new that you guys would like to see?
I can't believe that zixpk.com is getting ready to feature its 200th wallpaper. We have barely been around for over a year but in that short time we have grown into one of the most reliable and friendly sites to get some of the greatest wallpapers ever. In a year, I have sorted through thousands of wallpapers that were mostly shit so that I could bring you only the best.
To help make this celebration even better I need the help of my fellow visitors to suggest some new screen resolutions that they would like to see from now on.
We don't know what screen resolutions are popular now so we need your help to suggest some. All of the screen resolutions that you guys suggest will take effect starting with our 200th wallpaper.

Hi guys. I know that I haven't been posting anything for some days now, and I feel horrible about this. Zixpk.com is my baby and I don't want to see it fail so in the next couple of days I am going to be posting like crazy to be able to play catch up to all the post that I have missed. If you check zixpk.com within the next couple of days, you will be amazed with all the new content.
Also guys I will be implementing new things to zixpk.com, I am considering making a twitter page to be able to inform everyone about my day at zixpk.com. And you will also be seeing some changes all across the site (some might just be minor changes while others might be major).

Hi guys sorry I haven't been posting new wallpapers lately but my hands have been tied do to so many things going on with school and with the Zixpk.com magazine. As of right now we are on track for an April 1st release of our magazine. We have come up with a couple of ideas for the cover of the magazine and we would really appreciate your feedback. Zixpk.com has been a one man show for to long now, and that's why I am sending a request out there to all my fellow visitors. Zixpk.com is growing at such a rapid rate that I alone am unable to handle. I am looking for highly motivated people who love to customize their desktop as much as I do.
