Convert your Headphones into a Microphone

Don't have a mic at home? Don't worry, your headphones can do the job! These days pretty much everyone has at least one or two pairs of headphones laying around. Now, here is a fantastic way to turn your headphones into a mic that most people hardly know about. Just fallow the four simple steps below.

Connect your headphone jack into the pink jacket of the sound card.
Now open any sound recorder software and start recording.
Now take the headphone and put it near your mouth; make sure to speak loudly.
You will notice the sound recorder, picking up your voice!

Well there you have it. This simple tip took less than 30 seconds to achieve. This trick will not give you perfect result like a real mic does, so don't use it as your primary mic to call people on Skype.

Side note: I wonder if more expensive headphones achieve better quality to picking up your voice. If anyone tries this tip on a good pair of headphones make sure to leave a comment on how well it picked up your voice.

Song Recognizer

Have you ever heard a song on TV or on the radio, that you wish you knew the name of? Well here is a neat little program that is *free and will recognize the song that is playing. All you need for this to work is a computer and a microphone. Basically it works by putting the microphone up to the music source and clicking on the program (Tunatic) to listen. Once it has recognized the song it will tell you the name of it. Its a neat program that is available for both Mac and PC, so download it today.

"AviScreen is an application for capturing screen activity in the form of AVI video or bitmap images. Beside the usual options defining the capture area, AviScreen has a unique feature called "follow the cursor". Using this mode you can produce a video or image of relatively small dimensions while covering all mouse activity over the whole screen area."

From my experience this program works well in both Windows Vista and Xp. Please note that in Vista there might be some glitches, such as no double clicking. This program is still great considering how old it is, and considering thats its free.

Here are some nice tutorials presented by digital-photography-school.com. It shows you how to change the focus on you camera and how to change the shutter speeds, which means how fast the camera captures the picture. If you set the shutter speed to low you will be able to make light trails.
