Lets Save Our Planet

Category:

Earth Day is currently running its course today by having millions of people all around the world participate in events that bring awareness to our planets fragile situation. Many artists love to depict the beauty that our planet has to offer while others like to imagine a world were we have driven ourselves into extinction. Below we have compiled some of the most amazing rendered pictures of post-apocalyptic Earth.

1 » Post Apocalyptic London

[Here is an amazingly rendered image of London which has been completely annihilated. This was created by the makers of "Hellgate London" which is a PC game. The most incredible thing about this image for me is how the river is completely empty and how thus the current situation is unchangeable]

2 » New Glacial period

[While I don't believe that this can actually happen now because of the whole global warming thing, it's still fun to imagine how another ice age might look like. Uribaani did an amazing job, but this image reminds me a whole lot of the movie "The Day After Tomorrow."]

3 » Steel Waste

[Here is a depiction of a major city right after it has been destroyed, all that we can see now are huge pieces of metal dangling above the ground waiting to fall. This rendition takes our post apocalyptic world to the extreme by it wiping us off the face of the planet.]

4 » Abandoned Religions

[What will happen once there is no hope left on Earth and everyone has abandoned their faith in god? This painting by Daniel Kvasznicza reveals how all the fancy architecture that we go to worship in will in the end just crumble and decay so that they can go back to their rightful place.]

5 » Our Destruction Is Earths Best Hope

[You know what would be the best solution to all the problems that our planet is facing now? Well... by just taking us off the face of the Earth. Eventually over time our planet will just recycle everything and fix itself.]
