China is Starting Construction on The World's Tallest Ferris Wheel

Today, construction began on the tallest Ferris wheel in the world. To build this giant wheel it will cost around $99 million. This giant ferris wheel is being built in Beijing, and it will tower 680 feet when construction is completed in 2009. The amazing thing about this ferris wheel is that each of its 48 cars will hold around 40 passengers. The original plan for this beast of a wheel was to complete construction in time for next summer's Beijing Olympics, but because of their bickering over the design that wont happen until 2009.
